Hats from Africa on Display at IMA
More than 50 traditional head coverings representing 30 ethnic groups from across Africa show the great cultural diversity of the continent. The exhibit, Hats of Africa: From Asante to Zulu, includes hats made for a variety of purposes and composed of a variety of materials, including cloth, leather, feathers, shells and hair.
