"Asian Impressions: Travel to the Far East" is on view at the White River Gardens adjacent to downtown Indianapolis. Open through 8 November, the new show features Asian garden design, including a miniaturized hill and pond, hanging baskets of conifers, shoji paper screens, trickling water features and floating red gossamer. Over 30 bonsai specimens will be on display, enclosed by a bamboo gate that emphasizes the idea of solitude. "Asian Impressions" at White River Gardens is free for members and included with regular Indianapolis Zoo admission.
